Grant - Performing Arts - Dance

Description

The dance department of High Tech HS would like to have a modern dance company from NYC, Syren Modern Dance (www.syrendance.org), come out to our school for a master class and lecture demonstration in our new space. This company particularly deals with science concepts and dance in their creative work.

Curriculum Alignment

We are always finding ways to integrate other subject areas in the arts. This is a perfect opportunity to have our dancers understand dance through the use of physics. I have also contacted our science dept. so they can have some of their students join us for the lecture demonstration portion of the day.
