Ruddys is a dynamic professional with 20+ years of experience across the corporate, non-profit, and higher education sectors. In all the work he’s done, there is one thing that remains constant: a commitment to the Hudson County community. Ruddys spent his professional career serving residents of Hudson County, as Associate Vice President at New Jersey City University, Assistant Vice President of External Affairs at a local health care organization, and now as the Executive Director of the Guttenberg Housing Authority. Ruddys considers it a great privilege to serve the community that has given him so much, and is driven to improve the outcomes for his fellow neighbors through his vocation. As a longtime volunteer, Ruddys lends his time to organizations like the United Way of Hudson County, the Golden Door Rotary Club of Jersey City, and the Hudson County Schools of Technology Foundation.

Ruddys is a community builder, a person who creates an environment that is based on trust, transparency, and communication. He enjoys making connections between people and fostering conversation that leads to action. He is a seasoned fundraiser and fund developer, and has extensive experience liaising with local, state, and federal governing bodies.
