Andrew Campbell is the founder and president of Eastern Millwork Inc. (EMI), one of the nation’s top manufacturers of architectural woodwork for commercial, institutional, and Corporate projects. Mr. Campbell started this company 22 years ago, coming to manufacturing from the store fixture industry after training at the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT). Based in Jersey City, NJ, EMI is recognized among industry leaders as the best of the best. His work has been featured in publications such as Architectural Record, ENR, Custom Woodworking Business, Interior Design, Wood & Wood Products, Vanity Fair, and the European publication Furnier Magazin. Mr. Campbell's innovative approach to the industry is outside convention for American woodwork manufacturing. He has achieved success by leveraging manufacturing automation and aggressive information management systems to reduce the labor hours needed per part produced. This has allowed EMI to service demanding and dynamic projects that require large volumes of material on tight and shifting schedules. Additionally, Mr. Campbell has recruited European trained personnel to provide the most technologically advanced engineering and technology available, and international partners to provide customers with innovative product at the most competitive price. A community leader, Mr. Campbell was awarded the Habitat for Humanity of Hudson County Builder of the Year 2010. He is working for national initiatives to bring the highly successful German dual Education model of higher education and training to the US to grow talent domestically.
